UniFi - Adopt a disconnected device

A device is shown offline even though it was adopted in the past. This has happened to me when I changed the IP of the UniFi Network Controller.

SSH into the USG device and run the following command

set-inform http://192.168.50.11:8080/inform

You should try to UniFi - Reset Device, and then re-adopt the device from the UI.

Adoption is the process of connecting a device to the UniFi application that will manage it. All UniFi Access Points (APs), cameras, phones, and other devices (excluding consoles) are designed to make the adoption process as simple as possible.

If you have not yet done so, set up UniFi. We recommend a UniFi Cloud Gateway for the simplest, most streamlined experience.
Connect the UniFi device to a PoE power source on the same network as the UniFi Console.
Sign in to the UniFi Site Manager in a web browser, or use the UniFi Mobile App (iOS / Android) to adopt the device.

I need to get the current value of set-inform on my USG.

SSH Into USG and run the command

info

and look for the line Status.

I need to reset a UniFi device, maybe it's failing adoption or it became unresponsive.

SSH into the UniFi Device and type in set-default

Important

Running set-default immediately reset the device and restarts it. It does not ask for confirmation.

I was trying to make a change to one of the Networks from the UniFi Controller, and I was unable to save the settings due to the following error:

I managed to grabbed the response from the Developer Tools, Network tab:

It seems the issue is in the wan_gateway is not valid, and sure enough looking at the payload request (trimmed to relevant part), it's empty:
